Who We Are

Emphasis was founded as Game Changers Report in Fullerton, California in April 2022 by Connor "cali" Alicaya with the mission to bring more coverage to the North American Game Changers scene. Over the two years of its history, over 50 articles have been published by its writers. 

On November 11, 2023, Game Changers Report was rebranded to Emphasis to allow the brand to separate itself from VALORANT's Game Changers circuit, and instead expand coverage to all of marginalized gender esports. With the rebrand came the slogan "Bringing the Spotlight" which calls attention to its mission to shed light on a often underreported scene. 

Since the founding of Emphasis, the team has expanded to include more members, specializing in a variety of content. 

Emphasis strives to "Bring the Spotlight" to as many scenes as it can over the coming years.
