They travel to Berlin as the North American second seed and look to make a statement against their international competition.
Guild X has been constantly improving their placement in EMEA’s Game Changers Circuit. From placing in the 9th-16th bracket at the beginning of 2021 to 5th-6th, and becoming a consistent 2nd place finisher, Guild X finally located the peak of EMEA Game Changers in 2022’s Series 3 by defeating longtime champions G2 Gozen 3–2 in a Grand Final to remember. The roster of klaudia, Smurfette, roxi, aNNja, and ness look to build on their victory in Berlin.
G2 Gozen, who was hailed as the undisputed strongest team in EMEA Game Changers until their defeat at the hands of Guild X, started with back-to-back 3rd place finishes in 2021, both at the hands of eventual champions TENSTAR Nova. They began their reign in 2021’s Series 3 and continued by winning both Series 1 and 2 in 2022. juliano, Petra, mimi, Glance, and Mary look to take back not only their spot as the top team in EMEA but look to claim the title of the best team in the world.
Team Liquid Brazil has been dominant in the Brazilian scene, winning both Brazil Series 1 and 2 and placing first in all seven qualifiers. Additionally, they haven’t lost a series in either the main series or any of the qualifiers. Although they originally competed under the Gamelanders Purple banner, Team Liquid Brazil and its roster of naxy, drn, bstrdd, daiki, and nat1 have played together in Brazilian Game Changers since January of 2021, giving them plenty of continuity and chemistry heading into Berlin.
Representing Latin America is KRU Fem, another familiar organization to fans of VCT new to Game Changers. Similarly to many of the other teams heading to Berlin, KRU Fem made a flawless run through their regional qualifiers, placing first in all three open qualifiers for the Latin American South section, as well as winning the Latin America South Finals to advance to the Regional Final against the northern representatives FiRePOWER, in which they won 3–0. KRU Fem also hasn’t made any changes to their roster since signing kalita, conir, romi, consu, baesht and autumn in January of this year.
After just missing out on the Circuit Points qualification to Game Changers APAC Elite, the qualifying tournament for the APAC region, X10 Sapphire was forced to try to qualify for Elite through the Open Overtime tournament. However, they could not qualify through Overtime, giving them one last chance in the APAC Last Chance Qualifier, in which they would make a flawless run through the tournament and qualify for APAC Elite. In Elite, they would once again stay in the upper bracket, defeating Alter Ego Celeste, who had won all four open qualifiers in 2022 to orchestrate one of the biggest upsets of the year. The roster of babytz, poly, Alyssa, JinNy, and Muffyn look to show off their perseverance and drive in Berlin.
Representing East Asia is FENNEL Female, who made quick work of the Japan open qualifier, and won the Japan main series, advancing to the East Asia tournament, where they would face off against Reignite Lily, their fellow Japanese representative, as well as two representatives from Korea, and two representatives from China and Taiwan. In the East Asia tournament, they would end their group 1–1 but would bounce back from their defeat against Spear Gaming Female in the grand finals to qualify as the representative from East Asia. The roster of Curumi, Len, KOHAL, and Festival, joined by suzu on loan from Zeta Division, look to make their stamp on Game Changers in Berlin.
