Following the acquisition and subsequent dissolving of Counter Logic Gaming (CLG), Moist Esports has picked up the CLG Red Valorant team for Series 1.
After CLG was acquired by NRG for their LCS slot and infrastructure, the rest of the CLG organization was discontinued, including the CLG Red brand.
As a result, the CLG Red Valorant team would become free agents, but in the meantime, they would fight through the Open and Closed Qualifiers for Game Changers NA Series 1, securing a spot in the Main Event.
According to a video posted on Mogul Mail on April 8, the CLG Red Valorant team has been signed by Moist Esports for the remainder of Series 1, with Moist co-owner Ludwig Ahgren saying after Series 1, Moist will help them look for a long-term home.
Ahgren said Moist would help them find a home by, “using my contacts/platform to show them off at this event and connecting them with other esports teams."
Moist Moguls (MxM) are: itnothan, emluo, mle, athxna, and dodonut, with head coach shinobi and assistant coach niko.
The squad will make their debut under their new banner on April 11 in the Series 1 Main Event.
