Is it ever really too soon to look forward?
Series 2 has concluded, and as the dust settles, players and spectators alike are looking towards Series 3, and with conversation around Series 3 picking up, so does conversation around who will represent North America in Brazil at the Game Changers Championship.
Riot recently clarified that the qualification for the North American slots in the Game Changers Championship will be the same as it was in 2022, with the winner of Series 3 qualifying as the first seed, and the team with the highest point total (excluding the Series 3 winner) qualifying as the second seed.
As the winner of Series 3 qualifies directly to Brazil, every team is still in the running, but fans are still wondering which teams have multiple paths towards qualification. That list has gotten much shorter, as a maximum of 60 points can be earned by teams in Series 3. The teams still in the running to qualify through circuit points are: Version1, Shopify Rebellion, Complexity GX3, XSET, Evil Geniuses, FlyQuest Red, FaZe Clan, and Disguised.
As the tiebreaker is points received in Series 3, Version1 will qualify to the Game Changers Championship should they place anywhere in the top 16 of Series 3.
Game Changers NA Series 3 takes place in September, with the Game Changers Championship taking place in Sao Paulo, Brazil, starting November 28.
