NA Game Changers Series 1 Day 1 Recap

The first day of the North American Game Changers Series 1 main event saw zero upsets, as all the top seeds were able to secure wins over their adversaries.

In the first match of the day, Shopify Rebellion returned to the Game Changers stage for the first time since the first open qualifier, continuing their hot streak by only dropping two rounds across two maps over Supernova Galaxy.

While Shopify was dominating the main stream, Decimate and The Boys were putting on a slugfest on the second stream. Despite The Boys taking the first map 13–10, Decimate was able to tough out two close maps, 13–11 and 15–13, to take the series 2–1.

The second half of the day got off to an early start as Shopify Rebellion finished their series, setting the stage for FlyQuest RED and YFP X. FlyQuest was able to take the first blood in the series, winning 13–6 on Split, stealing YFP’s map pick, continuing their momentum into the next map, winning 13–5, taking the series 2–0.

The final match of the day would be between Passion Project and Infinity X, starting with Infinity X’s pick of Bind, where Jazzyk1ns and company were able to win 13–4 behind her 309 ACS. They continued with a strong 13–2 on Lotus to advance in the upper bracket.

Bottom Line

Tomorrow we will say goodbye to two teams as the upper semifinals and first round of the lower bracket will take place. Matchups are as follows:
